The vital spirit, the beating heart of Clissold Park Rangers, John would bleed red and blue (or whatever colours our strip happens to be).
Within CPR, John is the man who gets things done. Booking pitches and referees, arranging matches with the oppo, and representing the club within the league. John is every inch a natural leader.
However, aside from John's many administrative duties within the club, as the team's keeper he is also the player who stands between CPR and a complete drubbing almost every week.
Many a lesser man would lose his resolve at the prospect of bearing such a heavy burden, but not the CPR No 1. Instead, John's steel, courage and utter conviction spread throughout the team, to keep us going even in our darkest hours (from 1:30 to 3:00 every Saturday).
