The Team: Centre-backs

Garry "Jock" Griffin

Wannabe libero.

Sour-faced Scot who never ceases moaning at his team-mates to track back, mark up, get their tackles in, etc.

Faithfully adhering to the dour, joyless stereotype of the Caledonian Celts, Garry views skilful one-twos and expansive passing moves as tasteless showboating, which detract from a footballer's real duty: putting in crunching tackles, booting the opposition, and getting as muddy as possible. If it was down to Garry, none of the team would ever cross the halfway line.

Scott Moore

Mobile, tough in the tackle, good on the ball and sporting lovely highlights, Scott is the epitome of the modern-day centre-back.

CPR lost Scott for a whole season as he took off on round the world jaunt. After experiencing a myriad of different cultures in exotic locations, Scott found there was nowhere he'd rather be than Victoria Park on a Saturday, and so the following season we welcomed him back into the fold.

Danny "Chopper" Rogers

The team hard man.

CPR's original biker boy, who is never happier than when wearing leather. Known for his tough, uncompromising tackles, Dan brings a welcome air of Stamford Bridge menace to an otherwise gentrified team.

A hard-working, hard-nosed journo in the world of marketing and PR, Danny takes whatever freebies they can throw at him. Just what this has to do with his being seen in a clinch with Graham Norton is anyone's guess - the rest of the team are all too scared to ask.
