A short report this time, as your correspondent wasn’t even at the game.

The match, and the result, was totally overshadowed by the terrible injury suffered by Chris D when he went in to challenge the oppo GK. Chris was taken away to hospital and they found that he’d broken his leg. We wish him a speedy recovery.

The match was played in appalling conditions, and Manucci made the best of the wind and rain by quickly going 3-0 up. However, CPR did rally and Paul D managed to pull one back before half-time: a wonder goal, apparently.

In the second half CPR pounded the oppo penalty box, but for all their pressure they could only manage one more goal – Tyler prodding the ball home after a goalmouth scramble. Andy had a great header in the final seconds which the Manucci GK did very well to save.

A very frustrating and depressing afternoon.
