CPR SIZZLE ON FREEZING SATURDAY

Points

Joe and Mike celebrate their goals

The weather was freezing, the ground was hard and slippy. In truth CPR’s match against North Acton A should probably not have been played, but it was, and we won, and we won well.
Capitalising on some fairly horrendous Acton defending, Aldo slotted home within 5 minutes, before Mike Clifford added another a few minutes later – the keeper seemingly forgetting where he was for the latter. Acton pegged one back after the awarding of an extremely dubious penalty, before Joe ensured the boys in blue walked away with all 3 points.
Over at Vicky Park, CPR A battled to a 3-3 draw with Park Stars. Details of the game are still sketchy at this early stage, but it was understood to be an eventful game. Details of scorers to follow.
